Long-time resident HELEN
lSOBEL (HALL) WlNDSOR passed away quietly, in her sleep, on October
28th, 2002, at Mills Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Helen arrived in Terrace from Ontario in 1954, and raised a family
of four children here. She is survived by her sister Alice Purvis
in Ontario, her sons James (Jo-Anne), Donald (Elaine) and Patrick
(Laurie). Her grandchildren Stanley, Kenneth and Douglas Walker,
Michael Hall, David, Robert, Norman and Christine Hall, Michael
Sutherland, Cindy Onstein, Daniel and Liam Hall. Her great-grandchildren
Calvin, John, Alicia, Jeremy, Shyla, Caroline, Aquaya, Taylor, Thomas,
Connor, Brandon, Abigail and Gwynneth. She is also survived by numerous
nieces and nephews in Ontario.
She was predeceased by her two sisters Thelma and Hazel, her first
husband Vivian (Pat) Hall, her second husband Herbert Windsor, and
her daughter Karen (Hall) Walker.
Helen was very active in her work with various youth groups and
was instrumental in the formation and operation of such local groups
as the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron 747 Terrace 1963, the Thornhill
Teen Town 1965, and the Terrace Pipes and Drums Society 1975, of
which she was a life-time honourary member.
The family of Helen (Hall) Windsor wish to thank all those who showed
their support and sympathy with her passing. Her many friends and
members of the youth groups that she helped form, Dr. Brown and
the staff at Mills Memorial Hospital and Reverend Hargrave of the
Knox United Church.
Helen was a great lady and she will be sadly missed.
Rest in peace, dear mother, until we meet again.
